Abstrak:

Listening is one of passive skills of learning English competence that must be conquered by second and foreign learners of English. It is as one of the difficult skills invariably encountered by the webinar participants, especially the senior high schools students of SMA Santo Fransiskus, MAN 1, SMAN 02, and some learners of Pontianak district in online learning of English. Online learning as the way of gaining knowledge of English skills amidst pandemic covid -19 throughout the world. It is as the indispensable teaching tool for current atmosphere of covid-19 outbreak. Educational authorized have been struggling hard to cope with this learning obstacles while learning from home. News as one of learning media of listening practise while learning from home caused of covid 19 outbreak. DW TV news channel as the TV channel of English authentic source for listening skill practise while learning from home. It is a TV channel of English when smart TV connected to internet. The aim of this community engagement webinar that is to familiarize news as the media of learning English to enhance listening skill of the learners while learning from home.
